Levy is executing the offense well, but at times he is still having problems throwing some patterns consistently. I was told the Jai'ave is still behind him right now, but he makes it look easy. His arm is very good, just needs to get his reads down.

Ja'Marcus had a great scrimmage, that is what we expect from him as the #1 guy. Gossett also had a good scrimmage.

It's a rarity to have such a strong OL and RB core hate for it to be wasted on inept QB play

We need an effective passing QB. Until we have one starting for us, we won't be much of a threat to the better teams.

If he was ineligible, he couldn't practice and would simply lose a year since he's already red shirted.

Now he'll have this year to learn the system.

This kid has been a vagabond his entire career, both in HS and in college with different schools just about every year. That raises questions in my mind...but those will be answered down the road.

I honestly don't expect him to see the field this year if the others are healthy.

As of today, in the race to be the guy, Levi Lewis is Secretariat.

We'll see if that changes over the next three weeks. But I doubt it will.
I expect him to be the third QB simply because the two pure freshman have not redshirted. I expect the two QB system of last year to be used again so as the No. 2 guys plays the fourth series of each half. Barring injury, that lets the No. 3 guy play only in mop up time. Therefore, he may see the field some if we are in some blowout games.

Gossett also had a very good spring game.

Billy Napier will play 2 QB's regardless. I've said after spring I wouldn't be surprised to see Levi under center to start the season against Miss State. None of the other QB's have played one down in FBS football. Jai'avie isn't ready to take the reins of this team, may not be the guy this season. But he will play just like Levy did last season.

IMHO if LL is starting QB this season, I don't expect any improvement over last year's results. 7-5 @ best.

This is how I feel about it...

I know LL is a great kid and student of the game and the players like him. However, I have not been provided enough evidence for me to believe he’s the answer at QB. I’m rooting for him, and I hope he wins the freaking Heisman trophy. I just don’t see it. That’s always been my stance on him, even as a recruit. I just don’t see what some supposedly see.

I don’t care who the QB is. It’s not personal, in the least. I want whoever is under center to be very successful. Just reading between the lines of what’s being said at press conferences and in private, I don’t think the staff is sold on anyone right now.

Guys. How about we just let Napier worry about the depth chart for a few weeks?

    Beat Moo state.

No, now's the time for us to vocalize our opinions if we have one. The longer this goes with LL as the designated no 1 QB, the longer it stretches the season before another QB emerges. We are still learning what Napier wants in a QB and how he makes his decisions is still somewhat of a mystery. I didn't really care for the situation last year and want a clear improvement at the QB position this year. I'm still hopeful.

Fans should definitely be entitled to their opinions but Napier should not listen to them especially not our dumbases ... Things will all work out it's sink or swim for Lewis or any other player for that matter.

We can't start the season 2-5 or 1-6 that would kill all momentum gained last year
