Vic could you do me a favor and stop saying that here. The TC QB and Walker train some together, and they are friends who wish the best for one another, no need for that here. Thanks.

You and FB should have thought about that before you aired the collective thoughts of the two of you on this board about the subject. Sometimes ulterior motives come to bite you in the butt. I didn't bring it to the board, only called you out on it.

So you believ it’s possible for UL to have a 10 win regular season without a QB that can “Win” games for us?

If the supporting staff is good enough, yes.

That would be a first. We have never had a winning season with mediocre QB play or a “game manager” at QB. To borrow a term from Foote we need a point guard at QB this year with all the weapons he’ll have, just got to deliver the rock.

And I would venture to say we have never had a loaded coaching staff like we now have together with a loaded backfield of running backs like we have. Granted, our QB can’t be a dog, however if he gets his plays in, manages the game and allows his running backs to do their part, we can be very successful this year.

We haven’t had that type of QB for quite a while.
I would say, in our situation, we need a much more improved defense. I think Levi has proven he can help us win. I agree he has to be improved but I think the bigger question is the defense personally.

    I would agree

I think Napier maximized Lewis talents last year with that every 3rd series rotation. It gave defenses something different to look at and adjust to especially with him being left handed and that is how he should be used going forward. I think by the 2 quarter of the Mississippi State opener you'll see MAGALEI taking the majority of the snaps with possibly McDowell on deck.

Levi hasn't proven anything yet, he has a chance to show he's grown into the role now that he is the starter.
