I'm not trying to make excuses just saying it was a crappy situation for a game that hinged the season for a team that was that good and it still makes me sick to think about. There is nothing that can be said for the Little Rock loss, they should have been able to win that with 3 of the top 6 on the bench.

I listened to the podcast (2nd time as I also listened to the App St preview) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I have no problem with "the conversation" as I think it is a valid subject to discuss at this point in Marlin's tenure. I just hope that isn't the main point of every basketball conversation y'all have as the season starts and you can focus more on on court analysis and you can wait and revisit it as the season winds down. One thing I will point out is Mylik Wilson was regarded by many as the top recruiti in the state last year but he was not Louisiana's Mr. Basketball, Jalen Cook was named it as a Junior.
I don't speak for the others, but I will personally refrain from harping on my feelings about the past. One thing you can expect is genuine opinion. I have no agenda, one way or the other. My end goal is to win and win on a national stage. Who the coach might be is irrelevant to me.

Thanks for listening and certainly appreciate the feedback.

    Make Cajun Basketball Great Again.

Thanks for listening. We definitely will discuss the basketball games like we have discussed football as far as the analysis goes. The reason why we brought up “the conversation” was that the fact that it’s truly the “elephant in the room” with the fan base. People can disagree, but there’s no denying that there’s a good faction of the fan base who think that the program isn’t reaching its full potential. We decided to let it out in the light because it needs to be talked about. There’s a lot of apathy that has driven fans away and dancing around the situation does nothing to solve the problem or help the program.

Like MAT, there is no reason to have an agenda. We all want what’s best for our programs.

That is essential to be a legit pod cast. I'm not tuning in for just sunshine pumping, but the cold hard facts and the truth of every situation. Elephants in the room has to be discussed too. I'm one that has totally lost interest in our basketball program because like others, I find myself asking how long will our once proud program stay this way. Shameful truth is, basketball season is a vacation to rest up for Baseball for me and others.

1 NCAA Tourney appearance in 15 years
0 NCAA Tourney wins since 1992

That will make anyone stop caring about a program.

Sir, please check the mirror. I believe that you have a few of Big Game Bob’s short and curly’s lodged between your teeth.

I had to go out of state for a wedding during the weekend of the 2018 tournament so I did not see the UTA semifinal game. Therefore I cannot comment on the details. Perhaps the UTA staff did outcoach the Cajuns staff in that game. I certainly can't argue the point since I did not witness the contest.

Mike is one of the most real fans we have around this program. When we debate back and forth, I hope people understand that this is what real supporters with differing opinions look like. I have the utmost respect for Mike and his unwavering support for our program. He's also a stand up individual.

That was virtually the same group of Mavs that won the league title in 2017 and had a couple of marginal pro prospects on their squad. They reached the NIT quarterfinals with that bunch. As a result of the health concerns, we had to count on guys who were fine as backups but were marginal starters in the semi finals. We just decided not to bring a couple of them back for this season. Time will tell if that was a good decision.
I still think that Jerekius Davis could have helped us this year. Outside of him, I'm fairly certain that the changes we made will be for the better as it would be hard not to.
