During one of the interviews for media day (forgot which one). He said OL is the deepest spot on the team and if there was any position we can absorb an injury OL is it.

Can't read the article but I'm assuming the staff is looking at other options now. Reconstructive surgery is a 9-12 month recovery. With the amount of shots those linemen take over the course of a season, don't see how Prudhomme is able to play this season. Hopefully a medical is possible.

The article quotes Napier as saying that they will evaluate Prudhomme after a couple of games into the season (that he will sit out) on whether to redshirt or not. Since he already redshirted as a freshman, it would have to be a medical of course

Shane Vallot is the most likely candidate to take over according to Napier.
"And we'd be very comfortable with Shane playing," Napier said. Redshirt freshman Luke Junkunc is another candidate, as is Spencer Gardner, who appeared as a reserve in each game last season.Napier suggested Marks is a possibility for sliding over to center, and that true freshman Jax Harrington — an Erath High product — "has the mental capacity and the maturity to maybe do that job."
