It seems it really gained traction here when The Who Dat nation became really popular.

Bobby Hebert...who Dat nation..
What a whirlwind it has been. To think that in less than a month we went from all things normal (I think we learned of his heart attack on the 24th), to that terrible vigil, then losing an icon, to now having a new coach and facing a whole new era. Amazing.
I can only imagine how much more difficult all of this has been for the Robicahux family....including yesterday's events. We are so very fortunate to have them in our family.
But, now it is time to look forward and no doubt that this first season will be something for the ages. Can't wait.
I feel for this program. In 2002, i was a track athlete when Coach Charles Lancon passed away. Difference is we lost that gem of a human mid season. So tough to comprehend at that time.
I never met Robe but ill say that the way many you, the media, and past players have talked about him has really made me look at how i coach my STM track athletes. Im not doing enough. I just aint. But im a better coach today than yesterday. And that focus on self improvement goes up and down the athletic totem pole. That is what ill take from a man i never met.
As far as Deggs, could we have found better? Personally, hell no. This guy was built in part by Robe for this reason. I truly believe this. He was God built and heaven sent. That goes beyond wins and loses. Deggs is the iron we need to sharpen our iron, vice versa. And i can only hope he keeps Babs and others. They deserve to stand with us all. And need to be celebrated just as much. As a HC, im telling you, im nothing without assistants. Nothing.
God bless you all.

Y’all are being overly sensitive. I’m sure he meant that Tony retire and move into the athletic department and Matt Deggs take over.
