I think this is one of very few scenarios where we even had the opportunity to get Matt back here.

Also, Kendall is a good dude, but he should have cited his sources in that article. Obvious tip of the cap to RP was necessary.

Missing you today, 36. Still feels wrong to have this conversation.
It's really easy to say "go get this guy."

Has anyone checked what the buyout would be on any of these candidates?

Is Willis worth looking at? The man has done work in Eunice.

I think there were a few talking about “rolled bats” just in general but he made that statement about the program. I don’t condemn anyone based on such a statement. But, if I were considering him as a HC at UL you bet your _____$$ I would be questioning him!

Eunice needs to move up & play Div 1 level JC competition. D II in JC is pretty bad.

Bab like all of us made decisions based on what he believed best for him and his family. Certainly he received the benefits and income during his time here.

Not a shot at Bab, but if he had higher ambitions perhaps he needed to do like other assistants do, take charge of a smaller gig.
You are spot on my friend. I don’t think Bab has a desire to leave here which is why he never pursued a head job at a smaller school. I also don’t think he has his name in the hat for the head job. From a few different sources I have been told some things that would suggest Bab is involved in the hiring process of the new coach. I don’t think Des’ situation is a good comparison for ABs future. With his new off the field role he is more like a baseballs operations manager. We have seen that position survive a couple of coaching changes in football. Just like Troy Weingerter is for football Anthony would be great to have around for baseball no matter who the coach or how many we go through. He is someone who cares about and is passionate about the university.

I know he was a first year head coach but that statement still wrenches my gut.....just saying
If UL players were on the juice they need new juice or their money back.

This is our one shot IMO. Other than that He is our golden unicorn. That being said, I trust Maggard will do his best.

I agree. If not for Robe’s sudden passing I don’t think we had much chance luring deggs away. But as time goes on, my hunch that it will be Gautreau keeps growing.
