Hard to hold your emotions in check when you're listening to that in person. Dr Maggard gets choked up after a sentence and I'm pretty sure most everyone in attendance did too

Love how it comes out in the play on the field as well. It did in 2013-14 and it did at Sam Houston. Looking forward to seeing may double squeezes and HRs in our near future.

So being at the press conference it was definitely mixed emotions. Dr. Maggard did a great job speaking. He was very emotional, but handled everything with the Robichaux's and introducing Deggs excellently from a personal and professional level. Deggs spoke well. All expectations were met as far as the conference.

Deggs was intense. I had tears in my eyes throughout but at the same time was ready to run through a wall. What a day!

I don't know if it was on video, but before the conference "officially" started, Deggs went and gave a big hug to Ms. Colleen, Ashely, Ashley's children that were in attendance, Austin, and Jut. The room was completely silent at that moment. Just seeing how Ms. Colleen embraced Deggs. It was high emotion and a lot of love.

It could not have been scripted better from start to finish. This is what our community and our program is all about.
