My gut feeling is that Bab and Wells will remain to help the transition in some capacity on the staff and major changes will be made after the season. JMO

Basically says Maggard keeps it close to the vest but what he's heard from sources in Lafayette and other areas is that not many candidates discussed besides Deggs at this point. Says pay is not an issue from his sources and it's basically up to Deggs.

Not a huge update, but Rogers tends to think we're getting closer

What he said it was what many are expecting. I've heard from the beginning that Deggs has some reservations about taking over the helm at UL in this manner. I hope he does accept the offer. There are also said to be several surprises beyond the names mentioned in this thread that are interested in the position. I have no clue who they are, Dr. Maggard is handling this process professionally, no leaks.
