    That stinks, I know he wasn't going to play much, but hopefully he can go to LSU-E and get a bunch of playing time and transfer back in as a much more experienced player.

    That really does stink. He has the sweetest and smoothest shot I've seen in ages. I think he would have been a huge advantage in the 3-pt shooting.

    He would have spent another year running the scout team at UL. Now he will actually get true playing time. Hopefully that lets him develop as a player where he can help some if he comes back as a walkon. Best move for all involved.

    I agree, best for all...by no means saying there isn’t a future for him...but based on his limited minutes played last year, he has a long way to go to be ready to contribute meaningful minutes to a quality D1 program...I hope to see him back in Vermillion & White when ready for all parties

    Did he play enough minutes to lose his red shirt? If not he can play a year in JUCO and preform as a sophomore in 20/21 in division I.

    How good is the program at lsue? I know it is just getting started but how good is the competition?

    I believe if you play one minute you lose your redshirt in basketball unless injury is involved. It is not like football so he has likely lost his redshirt opportunity.
