I can name countless Big Program back ups in the NBA.

I wasn't saying JB will only play 10 min a game. I was saying even at that low number of minutes, he'd still be seen by more people that matter, and carry more competitive respect, for that matter.
I’m curious...name me college back ups that are in the NBA?...not being smart ___, just can’t believe a backup player would have better shot at the league than a starting role player

Off the top of my head would be impossible, but I know for sure Coach Cal has put kids in the NBA that played sparing minutes at Kentucky. Same for Duke.

    Arizona ain’t Kentucky or Duke

G league I believe but I thought we were talking about opportunity of getting there/drafted. Once you get there whatever happens is on the player. They don’t care how you got there or where you came from, can you play.

That question has negative connotations. Think positive.

In the last decade how many SBC players of Jordan Brown's calibre and pedigree have failed to make it to the NBA?

Gotcha...when you said you could name countless reserves, I took that to mean there was an abundance...

You said the SBC level, you didn't say the SBC. That's why I asked in the follow up.

From the SBC, other than Elfrid the only recent one I could think of was Courtney Lee. There were a number in the past (pre 2000).

Arizona's roster is turning over this year. They will have either 7 or 8 newcomers to their team. Its a fresh start for JB and they are only bringing in a few bigs, everyone else is backcourt recruits and transfers. BTW, remember the name Nico Mannion. Kid is a stud and will make some noise this year as a freshman PG.

This isn't true necessarily. Tony Bradley and Marvin Williams are two players from UNC who played off the bench and played less than 20 minutes and were drafted in the first or second round. I admit, its not the norm by any means but it happens.

It's about as common as SBC players making the league.
