Thread: 2019 Lady Cajuns Finish 18th in Final RPI

  1. UL Softball 2019 Lady Cajuns Finish 18th in Final RPI

Louisiana finished at #18 in the final RPI listings, one of only two teams from a non-Power 5 conference to finish in the top 20.

The Cajuns went 52-6 in 2019, before falling to the Ole Miss Rebels in the title game of the Oxford Regional.

Think that'll be good enough to host?

I'm just hoping the committee looks at the big picture and not just what conference you play in. It'll all work out, right?

Surely, no one that finished under .500 in their own conference would host over us, right?

Well, if you eclipse the 30% mark in conference, you’re safely in.

According to an article that Kevin wrote, the Cajuns will be playing Texas, Ole Miss, FSU, and Oklahoma State next year. Plus I'm sure they will also play Baylor who should be better this year. That should be enough to get a top 16 seed with a bunch of wins.
