How does it look to have a new place and not host anything, except the SBC tournament and get embarrassed in that?

Better than having a national broadcast team in to cover your regional and having to set up a "duck blind" in your stands so everyone in the country see's how behind the times you are in your facilities. JMO

I wouldn’t be surprised if our stadium played a role in 2007 to get snubbed a regional host.

I think it would be inappropriate to get rid of an AD for failing to plan, fundraise, start, and finish significant renovations to a stadium in 5 years time considering the numerous other factors.

Guess this is just my opinion, I don’t know.

But he was also a liar, embarrassing his president and head baseball coach.

Regional tv broadcasters pumping that non existent baseball park on national tv.

Sounds like you miss our former AD.

Don’t worry. He’s one state over to the west of us. You can go visit.

I think he's sticking up for Maggard.

I guess my comment could have been construed wrong. I’m speaking about a football stadium Reno. The farmer versus Maggard comparison is applicable. Farmer apparently lied about stuff. Maggard has been truthful with the situation.

As long as there is an honest dialogue (we are building X for $y million, or “we are not renovating because of X, Y, and Z), I’m good. It’s hard to justify renovating a football stadium when you already have trouble selling tickets, and it’s only used 5-6 times per year. Id consider myself a pretty big UL fan, but I think it would be fiscally irresponsible for spending too much on this project.

Baseball was different. Tickets were selling. People were going to games. It’s ised 28 times per year. Etc.

Hence the ideas being discussed to include other things into the construction to make the facility useful for more than the 5 or 6 times per year.
