If anyone was expecting some public statement from him, that's not his style. No AD for the most part works that way, threatening a coach publicly or throwing them under the bus in an interview with the press.

Dr. Maggard will do his job I have no doubt. While he didn't say anything publicly concerning Marlin, he did say in a meeting with supporters including myself that losing to teams in your own conference by 25 points was concerning and unacceptable. To me that as close as you are going to get from an AD in suggesting conversations have taken place concerning job performance.

Nah, we are the standard of the conference with the nicest gym. We also won 19 games this season against a bunch of juggernauts like Virgin Islands U and McNeese. We are good there.

Did you listen to Ian's show today?

I caught the tail end and Robe sounded apologetic.

Robe has of late thrown some stones at fans who express dissatisfaction with the team. Clearly he thinks they’re a big part of the programs failures.

Remember the last coach who lost a ton of season ticket holders he help bring in and then blamed the fanbase for his shortcomings...

U must have listened to a different interview than I did if that’s what you took away from it

Some people create a narrative and just run with it despite facts. I love how a few on here feel like they have the power to get any coach fired.

Nope, I did not listen to his show today. I believe Robe will fix it, that has been his history here at UL. I know he is not happy with the results, I have had several conversations with him. And until he proves he can't fix it, I will be in the stands.

Robe today on doubts from the fans and people possibly not renewing:

“That’s on us. Not them. it’s our job to get them back because we’re the ones that drove them away.”
“You can’t open a restaurant and not have food ready.”
“I don’t want fans that are ok with where we are or just an ok year.”
“We’re not gonna be disrespectful to our fans and I don’t take it as disrespect from them. I’d rather be somewhere where somebody wants to live up to a standard than settle for a low standard.”

Needed to be said and that’s the attitude you have to have. Thanks Robe.

Some (I think wrongly) took offense to statements he made last season and this season about fans.

Whatever his comments might have been I equate them to a fan making an in game comment, it's not big picture on how they feel.

An in game comment or heat of the between game moment should not be taken as seriously as a comment that reflects contemplation.

I put 1000 times more value on Robi's current comment than anything he said in-season between games.
