Yes, you do not see many lefty catchers. There are many coaches at the select and high school levels that simply will not allow a lefty to catch. I had one in 14U that could play the position ... and that she did.

Coaches are often times finicky about many things that they really know nothing about. Often time good players are ruined by such coaches.

Technically they do not “seed” outside of the host school, or 1 seed, but no we are considered the 2 seed.

Actually, they do seed everyone ... they simply do not adorn the teams with the numeric seed label (other than the National seeds). They seed because the first round opponent of the national seed must be the #4 seed ... and the home team of the other opening round matchup is the #2 seed (no coin flip).

Yes, the Cajuns are the #2 seed and will be the home team in the 2pm championship game tomorrow. If there is a seventh game (if necessary game), the Cajuns will be the visitor.
