That’s because the ncaa changed the days for super regionals. 2018 might have been the first year of the new format.

i was there we get called out for poor game day logisitcs, but that was a cluster. i cant help but think it was disorganized by design, to quadruple az state’s home field adv. nobody knew (or wouldnt tell cajuns) when the game would be, how much time between games, etc,etc. made it hard for cajuns to be mentally prepared for that third game and physically because i also recall game was really late

new format. when we went to houston in 2008, games 2 & 3 were played as a doubleheader.
