When you load the bases with no outs and can't push one lousy run across with even an incompetent sac fly, which Robe hates like poison, well, it all went downhill from there.
Winningest coach in ULM baseball history. Had one bad year, his last, first year NLU was independent. Won multiple titles. The next three hires only lasted a year each. Man should be a member of the H Club or whatever they call their hall of fame.
The Warhawks have had 12 head coaches in the history of their baseball program:
Coach Seasons Wins Losses Ties Win %
1 Woody Boyles 1952–1954 23 16 1 .588
2 George Luffey 1955–1966 131 134 1 .494
3 Bill Dotson 1966–1972 171 112 2 .604
4 Terry Murry 1973 7 18 0 .280
5 Steve Maddox 1974 6 27 0 .182
6 Jimmy "Chick" Childress 1975 13 17 0 .433
7 Lou St. Amant 1976–1993 414 428 5 .492
8 Smoke Laval 1994–2000 241 159 0 .603

Except for the Smoke years, ULM has sucked since the Nixon administration.
If there was ever a case of truly backing into a conference tournament, this is a classic example. Thanks to Arky St, we're almost being forced to play in this thing. Can we do like Notre Dame football did a few years back and just decline the invite ? It's time to shoot this horse.
25-29, 26-29, or 27-29. And there are people out there that will try and find a rainbow in those numbers and totally ignore the pink elephant in the room. But no worries, they swear help is on the way with our full time recruiter leading the charge. Nothing like having to cut players that you signed yourself.
Can’t and won’t argue against those records...but being a school girl after every loss isn’t the solution....start sending Maggard emails...call Maggard...call Niko...call Robe...you’re obviously invested in this program...go get answers and give demands on your part...
Just a wild guess. Dr. Maggard is likely aware of our record, physical attendance, concessions sales, recruiting class sizes and recruiting misses, but I'm just guessing. Not sure if he's an analytical type.
