Good thing we got rid of him. We have demonstrated no recruiting ability for years.

I have totally lost faith in our staff as talent evaluators.. The hit and misses are alarming as evidenced by our downward spiral.
I didn't say anything, but when we lost Jack Burk, went to play a ULM team not in the conference cellar by 10 games, with a shabby bullpen, the writing was on the wall. Plus, they were soooo due to win a game.
The problem with many UL baseball fans is that they are Robe fans first, and cannot lay the blame for the state of the program where it belongs; with the head coach.
When you load the bases with no outs and can't push one lousy run across with even an incompetent sac fly, which Robe hates like poison, well, it all went downhill from there.
Winningest coach in ULM baseball history. Had one bad year, his last, first year NLU was independent. Won multiple titles. The next three hires only lasted a year each. Man should be a member of the H Club or whatever they call their hall of fame.
The Warhawks have had 12 head coaches in the history of their baseball program:

1 Woody Boyles 1952–1954 23 16 1 .588
2 George Luffey 1955–1966 131 134 1 .494
3 Bill Dotson 1966–1972 171 112 2 .604
