Things to watch at regionals

Just curious as to what you guys think will be things to watch at the Regionals.

I am curious to see..

1) how many illegal pitches will be called against our pitchers (I suspect none because we have better coaching now)

2) how our batters will fare against better pitching.

Our hitting will have to have a major lift. Pitching and fielding is there. Won many games with stealing and our base running. Being aggressive on the bases is Glasco's thing. Get into your opponent head and cause errors.

With the new rules an illegal pitch is now just a ball for the batter so not nearly as severe a penalty as in the past.

Yes, there has been talk about this especially late in the season. Of course, the SEC umps have been inconsistent which has folks upset.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Kelly Barnhill. She was illegal against Alabama this past Saturday evening and I did not see it called (though I did not see all of the game).

Would they typically have umpires from the same conference as the host team in postseason play?
