STM had at least two freshmen dress out and get a few snaps the year before last in 2017.

To now say “get a few snaps” was not referring to the QB position is really getting a little cute.

Did those you are referring to dress out for every game ready to play from the beginning of the season?

That school has allowed promising freshmen to dress out late in the playoffs, but not for the lions share of the season.

That is not true at least accoding to a fellow TC alum that works with both walker and sammy on a regular basis. I have asked the former NFL'er that exact question, who he would go with right now as his starter? His answer "walker has great upside but the TC kid is more polished at this point". I am sure Cajun Vic knows more than the Super bowl QB though. We are talking Sr and Sophomore to be that makes sense.

Let me see if I follow you here. You say if walker would be at any other school in Lafayette he'd be starting now when you know nothing about the other QBs and their talent, experience and knowledge of the offense.....and there is no bias in that statement.

But when a guy who's a former Cajun and NFL QB, that works with 2 high school quarterbacks at the same time, on a pretty regular basis says it, he is bias. I don't think Jake would say that just because one is at TC and the other at stm. That's if I am correct on my assessment of his character and integrity.

STM has been easing the no Freshman policy over the last few years. I think Jack Bech played varsity as a Freshman in 2017 and Josh Stevenson was a major contributor on defense last season as a Freshman.

Bottom line is TC and STM both have 2nd year starters coming back, and STM has a pretty good one, from everything I hear, waiting his turn. None of that will change regardless of who is better than who. Time to move on folks.

I diminished no one, you must have me confused with someone else. I actually said last year in those conversations that they were completely jumping the gun talking about the TC QB.

As far as fields goes I did give my opinion of what I thought of him after watching him in 2 games as a Sr. After all this is a message board designed for the purpose of discussion and giving opinions. Just because you don’t agree with my opinion doesn’t mean I was trying to diminish the kid. I do still have questions about him at this level. I may be wrong it’s just an opinion.

Since those conversations coach Napier has brought in 2 transfers which will be good for fields in his development.

I have nothing against chandler and I hope he breaks every QB record at UL. That means we are having great success.

Holstein and Howard aren’t coming here so I won’t waste my time defending that asinine statement.
