Thread: Burnt ROUX: Miller Time is Up (at UL)

The 3 in the SBC is a guard spot. The most success UL has had in the history of basketball is when the PF position was filled by a 6’6” or 6’7” player and then a true Power Forward at the five spot. You wanna win college games, get 3 guards that can play and throw away the Small Forward Position.

When I say PRODUCTIVE, I mean go to the Show baby. That’s producing.

Softball has been to the show 21 years in a row. Asking basketbball for more than once a decade isn't terribly unreasonable.

So you see Julien guarding the 4 but not Johnson? OK

Again, no this is not accurate. I don't know why the SBC has its own set of rules for lineups but some teams go specifically with a 3 guard lineup. That doesn't mean that the SF position is redefined. UL went with Marquetti at the SF this year. That's because he's prototypical for the position. He did not play SG . He was a SF. I don't even know why this is an argument but I'm really getting worried about your ability to "scout" talent when you have trouble with simple position definitions and how they fit some of our players.

Exactly, I think this is the case!

Reminds of the days when some clown “expert” here was adamant Elfrid Payton should be a left handed power forward.

    Geez

The guy I’m thinking of said no left handed point guards. He’s also the guy who blamed CajunT because his man among men son didn’t impress enough people to get a scholarship.
