I love the 3 point shot line being moved back. Hopefully the return to a traditional big man/center will return .. The college game should benefit.

Then there’s the problem of not enough bigs to go around. The improved 3 point shooters have in fact made more teams highly competitive.

Once again have we seen the teams in the SUNBELT? Nobody has a huge team, all the 4s for years have been 6'6" at best. You guys are pulling the wool over your own eyes.

Really? I'll take that bet. I'm not saying he won't move the PF at times in a smaller lineup but I guarantee you he starts on the wing as our 3. I'm not really sure what being a center on your HS team has to do with it. Where you translate at the next level often has little to nothing to do where you play in HS. You could be 6'2" on your HS team and play center to go play SG in college. The main difference he'll see in college is on the defensive end. Even at Center in HS, he was matched up with guys his size or smaller. At PF or C, he would be undersized against just about any team out there. Looks like Jeremy Hayes has officially found a new home at Angelo State.

Ok, I can guarantee that he will not play the 3 position for UL. He was the Center on his team in HS, yes he can step out and shoot the three, but his ball handling skills and being a consistent 3 point threat is not of a guard or 3 man. He will be at the 4 position for us. Marquetti was a 3 man for us. Julien is no where close to Marquetti when it comes to the guard position.

I get his skill set will need some development, but he does have a good mid range jump shot now. If he is playing the 4 against smaller teams, we can get away with it at times. But if he is playing the 4 against bigger teams we are in trouble.

Have you seen all of the SBC signing classes? How about the final rosters for next season? How about the non conference schedule for next season? Of course not! Let me also add Smith, Johnson, Lafayette, Doudo can all play the 4 as well, so do you see him getting the majority of his minutes at the 4 as too? I'm suggesting to you that he will get minutes at the 3 as well. It's all speculation at this time exactly how many minutes he will play period.
