I love Justin Miller's effort and his willingness to do whatever it takes for his team to win. Now, he is slow footed and a defensive liability against more athletic wings and forwards. He showed he can play in this league, but also limited our staff on the style of play while he was on the court. Bottom line, he is not the type of athlete that is going to elevate your program like a Shawn Long or Jakeenan Gant.
Let me also add that Justin never really committed to our new Nutrition program, he constantly ate fast food. How do I know this, through people that worked with him in the program and their statements concerning the amounts of fast food garbage he disposed of weekly. Now some people may be offended by everything I just stated, but that doesn't make it not true.
Justin is a good player and represented the university very well. He is the type of player that you need on a team.
He was limited in what he could do athletically, but that could have been mitigated is Big Fish had a deeper roster which would limit his minutes to 20-25 per game.
Anyone that can score 1000 point at the D1 level is a pretty good player. Not great, but above average for sure. Just wish he would have done that in a Cajun uniform.
You stated "I just defended him when others were down on him. Call it as you see it. I state it as it is." You defended him ferociously and went after Cantrelle with similar banter prior to admitting your personal relation with him and other STM athletes. I call it like I see it as well. Let's not have revisionist history here, thanks.
