He has had back issues since his first year that has really hampered his development as a player.

I would think this would be from his thoughts on what the new guys would mean for his playing time. Does anyone know if he has graduated? If he can’t go somewhere as a grad transfer he wouldn’t have the year to sit at another D-1 program since he redshirted as a freshman here correct?

He did redshirt his first year. He cannot sit out and play another year at a D1 school. Only way he plays next year at a D1 school is as a grad transfer. I doubt he will graduate next week but I could be wrong. My prediction is he goes to a D2 school where he does not have to sit out. I was surprised to hear about Miller and I am just as surprised to hear about Davis. I have since found out that Miller is leaving on excellent terms and our staff is working to place him at an appropriate place for him.

I'd never thought Justin Miller was leaving on anything less than good terms. He's been a solid character since he enrolled. I'm not really surprised about Davis considering he had to be talked out of transfering before and decided to remain in the program.

Glad to hear Miller is leaving on good terms. I know you had mentioned that the Daytona State guys were at the banquet so Miller and Davis couldn’t have been caught too off guard by what happened this week. As far as Davis leaving I think this would make Julien slide into more of a 3/4 role instead of just a 3. That would in turn open up room for maybe Wilson and Cadwell to play at the 3 in a smaller lineup. I had also mentioned in another thread that Spenkuch may redshirt but that could be off the table now. This also leaves Hardy as the lone Senior which means the core group heading into the 20-21 season will have a had a lot of time on the court together to gel.

Sucks to hear about JD. I thought he could really help us this year with his shooting as he could play a true stretch 4 or even 3 on the wing with the help we were going to have on the interior. I thought he could have been a real solid contributor.

I agree the Davis thing is very dissappointing. I loved the way Miller played, but he was limited and would hurt us defensively allot of the time.

Davis has improved each year and was hoping next season would be his best by far.
