Thread: So who would you start Sunday if you were UL's coach?

  1. UL Baseball So who would you start Sunday if you were UL's coach?

Coaches generally like to be prepared going into a game or a series.

Now that UL baseball coach Tony Robichaux finally feels adequately equipped for a Friday series opener for the first time all season, try not to remind him too quickly about what happens for Game 3.

Truthfully, he has no answer for that one.

Dang that's some ugly ERAs in the middle of our bullpen.

    Logan Savoy. End of Story.
Sink or swim. Either way, he'll be a major part of the staff next year. Let's see what he's got.

Yes I totally agree with you! Unless Gunner can get off to a good start then come with Logan.

Agreed. I would like to see Savoy get another shot. Will help him on his path to a potential starting role next year.

I see Hunter Moody around town. He's in shape.

If Gunner can’t go then roll with Logan.

So you think Burke and Savoy will both be starters next season or play a part out of the pen ? Just asking as we have all these Juco arms coming in. Trying to figure out what Burke and Savoy's role will be next season. Neither are in any danger of getting cut I would think. I think a lot will be determined on how the rest of this season pans out with their performances.

I think Burk has been solidifying his spot in the weekend rotation his last few starts.

I think Savoy has a future. Whether it's as a starter next year will depend on what is coming in.

How many pitchers are among the Juco signees ? Young [Unless possibly drafted], Leaumont, Perrin, Savoy, and Burke are the ones I see that still can contribute and be effective next season on the mound. There are some others that are in question however.

I think there are six. Two were announced early. Two signed late. Two we are getting for free for one year and won't be announced. The Texas Tech kid is one of the freebies. The other, I believe, is from Minnesota.

Just my opinion, but I think the three natural freshmen all have some ability. Had we had a "normal" staff, they might have redshirted this year. It's all about development for them. Their velocity is good enough to win. I wouldn't count them out of the future plans. We'll see.
