At least we have something to build from regarding the pitching staff. The big concern is position players to me. Outside of Cantrelle, Breaux, a healthy Bourgeois, Windham, and Soto it's pretty much wide open from what I see with no real guarantees even in the group I just mentioned aside from maybe Breaux and Cantrelle. It'll be interesting will all the new kids coming in.

If Breaux is guaranteed a spot next year while hitting .270, then we may be in a bind.

I see Hunter Moody around town. He's in shape.

Hunter's also been working on keeping the ball down in the strike zone pitching to those 7 & 8 year olds. Just doesn't seem to have the same velocity on the mound in those games.

I don’t see Breaux getting cut. There may be an argument to that statement but you have to weigh the fact that he’s played every game this season practically. You don’t just cut that. I’m not going to say he won’t have competition based on what we’re hearing but cutting him, no.

Never said he should be cut. But already putting someone with a .270 average in the starting lineup for next year isn't smart. He's played well, and has played every game, but he's not someone that is guaranteed a spot. He basically started every year because we had no one else to replace him.

Agreed! Why would we not allow him to come back and compete in the fall? The guy hasn't played much college ball, there is room for improvement. He has at leased earned the opportunity to come back in the fall and compete.JMO

Also another year in the system will help some guys and having some more threats in the lineup. Makes it easy on pitcher when you only have 2-3 guys in a lineup to worry about.
