This team has been such a rollercoaster, I don’t put much in stats. 6 games left, probably cannot afford to go .500 to have a chance. Have to play sound baseball.

“Pushing” can be fatal. Look at Elvis.

The funny thing is, if this team would find a way to win the SBC Tourney and get into a regional, it would be an all-time coaching job by Tony and staff... Oh wait, can't say anything potentially positive about the coaching staff...

We have as good a chance as any team to win it. We will at least beat GAST 2/3 and Monroe 2/3.

They've been very quite about it.
I don't think he's done, but I think he only becomes an option if the games start to matter. In other words, a tourney run and/or regional appearance.

I’m with MAT on this debate...he can irritate me just like I’m sure I can irritate others...but he’s trying to talk optimistically about a season that is not done yet...let’s wait until the season is over to start throwing people under the bus

Tony said Sat. he's likely done. The physical 7stress of putting a 12 inch steel rod in his leg was too much to deal with

At least we can see a path to our own tournament. Can we get it done? I don't know, but I will be there this weekend for at least two games. All the other yapping is just the same people throwing crap at the wall.

And then said today, he'd start him on a Sunday to set up the pen.

I though last year was an amazing job game managing. To win 34 with that pitiful offense was warlock-like. We were ranked 272 in BA, 249 in slug.

I guess we shall see. Sounds like it is up in the air. One of the biggest disappointments this season was not watching him pitch. He still has a future in pro ball. Tony is not going to abuse him to try and bail out this clown show season. If he does get in, the pitch count will be low low.
