Scouting is not recruiting.
Recruiting implies contact.
Contact has strong restrictions.
11.01.6 Coach, Volunteer. [A]
(a) The individual is prohibited from contacting and evaluating prospective student-athletes off campus or from
scouting opponents off campus and may not perform recruiting coordination functions (see Bylaw 11.7.2).
Evaluating = Scouting. As a mid major, I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole. But hell, maybe we get put on probation and have another excuse for our mediocrity.
Notice "contacting AND evaluating" is lumped together.
It does not say "contacting OR evaluating."
"Contacting" is the key thread word throughout all the recruiting restrictions.
The "Scouting your opponent" prohibition is specific which serves to highlight the vast difference.

11.7.5.2 Off-Campus Contact and Evaluation of Prospective Student-Athletes. [FCS]
Only those coaches who are counted by the institution within the numerical limitations on head and assistant coaches may contact or evaluate prospective student-athletes off campus. (Revised: 4/28/05 effective 8/1/05, 1/19/13 effective 8/1/13)
Hopefully, there is a misunderstanding.
Anyone who is suggesting Robe has cheated needs to stick his head in a toilet bowl and flush.
Freeman is the 3rd recruiter.
NCAA issued a waiver, that was applied for and granted, when Robe’s Dad was having health concerns.
We are not cheating.
I respect the fact that we have standards in this program. I am all about pushing for excellence and holding people accountable.
But this is getting ridiculous. Can we pump the brakes a little...
