Freeman, Jt, and Wells are doing the recruiting. He said it publically tonight. Freeman was looking at some local high school kids, Wells was in Tx, and JT was in Mississippi.
Sounds a lot like Bobby Bowden at FSU. He built a tremendous program, only to stop doing the things that he did to build the program. Once he stopped doing those things it was all over for him as the HC.
Didn’t someone post the ncaa bylaws for volunteer assistant not too long ago? Pretty sure it limited what that position was able to do in terms of recruiting. Are we breaking rules or was that post outdated? Are we publicly admitting to breaking rules? Is tony claiming freeman as a full time recruiter when he’s limited and tony would not be?
My point in the questioning is it doesn't make sense. I read that volunteer assistants are limited in their recruiting capacity. So if what Tony is saying is true, we are breaking the rules. If we aren't breaking rules, then Freeman is not a full time recruiter. Can't have it both ways.
When Alvin Dark was recruited (sorry, scouted) for the Major Leagues he was oblivious to them being in the stands at UL.
Freeman can go to games as he pleases. Unannounced.
