    Translation:

We have been going after more No. 1's out of high school and have lost them to other schools or draft.

We dropped the ball on the 2's and 3's so they went elsewhere.

So we are now staffed with the 4's and 5's and it shows.

Well, how did I do Boomer?

Unfortunately, when everybody else was committing freshmen and sophomores we were committing juniors and seniors. When those classes rolled around the best players were gone. We got beat pretty badly. We've been playing catch up for years and it caught up with us. We will get caught up, but it is painful to watch. Rant off til next week....

Until some of you folks stop blaming the under-achievement of UL's baseball program on the players, you'll never get it fixed.........The under-achieving will continue no matter who you sign to play............

Starts and ends with the coaching staff. Right now the only one worth a damn is Wells.

Just for ____es and giggles, I looked up Coastal Carolina's post season record. Since 2001, they have only missed post season 3 times. If they can do it, there is no reason this program cannot do the same. There is absolutely no excuse for the inconsistency in the program since the 2000 season. This program should make post season 4 out of every 5 years; anything less is just BS.
