Isn't Chandler Fields considered more of a dual threat guy?

What I saw his Jr year on hudl was a pocket passer.

I may be in the minority here, and will probably get roasted for it, but it wouldn't surprise me if Fields never takes a significant snap here.

I saw him play a couple times in high school and I just don't see a D1 QB.

And with the number of QBs that have committed and have been signed since Fields committed/signed, I just don’t think it’ll happen for him here

I have no idea what the future holds for the young man. I know a family that has gotten to know Chandler over the last year and they say the kid has a tremendous work ethic. You may find someone with more God given ability but it would be hard to find someone who works harder.

I agree 100%. If my kid ever had the chance to live that dream I would remove myself from this board. As a matter of fact if he was ever being seriously considered by the Cajuns I would refrain from conversation on here throughout the process.

He is definitely raw and needs time in the system but in 2 to 3 years who knows what our QB room looks like and what Fields looks like.

He is more athletic than people give him credit for, but he basically threw it up to his 4star WR or ran when plays broke down. I have heard he is a good kid, but his HS career says he has no problem moving around to get himself in the right situation. Anyway we only need one QB and it feels like we have upgraded the position.

But all I really care about is that someone in that room steps up and becomes a helluva QB for us.

I have nothing against the kid and wish him the best. If he is a guy that can lead the Cajuns to a confrence championship with P5 wins mixed in, I will be his biggest supporter. I have only seen him play once live and in person. He was definitely the 2nd best QB on the field throwing the ball that night.
