Louisiana was three outs away from claiming an impressive midweek road victory on Thursday night, but Southern Miss had other plans as the Golden Eagles plated four runs in the ninth inning to stun the Ragin' Cajuns, 7-6, at Pete Taylor Park.

At the risk of piling on, at this point in the season and how it's transpired, was it REALLY a heartbreaker?
I thought the same thing. Similarly not trying to be salty, but a heartbreaker implies that it was a meaningful game and something like the win was imminent and then the unthinkable happened. Think Saints-Vikings playoff game 2017 season.
After the hit by pitch, walk then single that the Cajuns gave up in the 9th, I kind of assumed we'd lose. We've been losing that way all year.
