Maybe we should have scheduled James Madison on our trip to Appalachian State instead of Campbell and UNC-Greensboro.

Troy is right there and may break into the top 50 if they keep winning. If that happens then that's 3 more wins against a top 50 program. It would also help if we played them twice in the conference tournament.

Since you're playing with LA Cajuns hypotheticals... You could sub-in the best softball team that has ever existed anywhere, (keeping UL's locked in schedule) and their RPI would not be substantially better than Louisiana's.

Point being, RPI is a brain dead way of measuring quality.
But much better than any opinion method I've ever seen used by selection committee's.

We don’t play any needle movers the rest of the year. We’re 20th, JMU is higher, they’ll be the token non P-5 regional host. Baton Rouge here we come. Ugh.

Team sheets tell the story. Who worth a flip have we’ve beaten? Nobody.

We’ll have a 1-2 combo pitching next year. Need a more challenging OOC schedule with wins.
Don't think we're going to BR this year.

Troy has the same issue the Cajuns have...except they have a single game at Florida State Wednesday. USA and Texas State are not needle movers. We all have to be Troy fans Wednesday.

FWIW, Troy has been run ruled by Alabama, South Carolina, State and three times by UL.

You are right. The year UL had the #11 RPI they still found a way to bump the Cajuns down a notch.

This was with Louisiana's AD at the head of the proverbial table.

We were 13 and Auburn was 4 in 2015. Should have won that thing too. It was an epic meltdown in the circle in game 1 that set the tone. We lost 12-11 in 8 innings after blowing a big lead late.

Not sure if that was what Turbine was talking about, but that Super regional came to mind.
