What do you mean? He does a horrible job calling a baseball game. You're more likely to get a story about the opposing team's SID than finding out if Perrin just threw a changeup or curveball.

JMO: for a radio broadcaster, you have to understand you can see the game and your audience can’t. If you were listening to the top of the 2nd, Cantrelle hit a single to right center. Jay’s call: “ball hit to right center........and it’s bobbled. Lochridge on his way to third.” Eventually says later that it should be a hit and an error. But as a listener you have no way to tell from the call was this a single and a bobble or a bobbled fly ball.

Ok. I see what ya mean .. I can recognize the difference when Ian and others call a game but Jay being calling games so long it's natural to me.
