Agreed. Gunner wasn’t good, but he should have gotten a pass with that double play. You always second guess the choice to leave a pitcher in. Gunner usually doesn’t struggle like that. Much less agsinst multiple batters to the point where you say 4 batters before the wining hit “Gunner needs to sit.”

Oh no, Loch attempted to cut off Cantrelle on a ground ball and booted it and failed to execute the second half of a double play in that inning. 5 out inning for Gunner.

Our very average infield matches up well with the very average pitching. On days we hit, we win. Days we don't hit, we lose. We hit in about half the games. That is how you get to 20-21.

They have proven over and over their ceiling is not high. However, once in a great while they pitch, hit and field well in the same game, about 10% of the games, resulting from pure luck.

No doubt man. Jay's been the guy my whole life, so I'm used to it. Jay is also notorious for dead air during baseball games. Ask around on the board and you'll find a lot of people who have turned on a radio broadcast and thought there were technical difficulties for 30+ seconds until he finally breaks the silence. Having Topham as color has really helped in that regard.

Hard ground ball literally right to Cantrelle, couldn’t have been any more tailor made for a double play to end the game and he ___kin boots it and makes no throw.

And why the ___k do we leave Gunner in there when he clearly didn’t have it after giving up 3 in the 8th and then gives up two singles to start the 9th around a ____ rope to the wall for the first out. WTF

I've defended Tony all year, but leaving Gunner out there was Bush League.
