This is what happens when a coach has created ____ following and knows he basically untouchable! His ____ following can accept losing and as long as their "GUY" is in charge! Also, they find any and every excuse out there to justify things!

It’s a shame we can’t...but when people like ___kstickGrad come along and obviously make it personal towards probably the greatest Ambassador the University has ever had...you treat them like crap

You act like the baseball team has had one bad year (this year). If you cannot see the what is going on well I do not know what to tell you. And by the way, I have nothing again the coach. But you know what, unlike like you, I love my school more than the coach!

You people do realize that Robe won’t be here forever right ? I know when that day comes there will be some folks on here lining up on top of the Chase Tower downtown waiting for their turn to jump. News flash, the next guy won’t be here 25 plus years either so get ready. This is a stepping stone mid-major baseball program. Robe has been an anomaly. A unicorn. This doesn’t happen often in college athletics. Get ready to move forward sooner than later. This cannot continue much longer. Maggard could give two _____ts about the past 25 years. He’s here to build a successful athletic program. This is not about making friends.

Yes! It’s good to display patience and understanding!

Our fan base survived Coach Toothpick, Robert Lee and our AD quickly dealt with Hud’s Last year. We’ll survive this too!

Many of our baseball fans give Robe a pass due to an accomplishment 19 years ago, and blame assistants today for shortcomings. Kudos to them, we should show all our coaches such understanding and compassion.

Let me know when our basketball or football programs are ranked #1 in the nation. If they get there under a coach I’ll overlook a couple less than stellar recruiting classes and give them the opportunity to remedy the situation.

Football or basketball with this current set-up will never be ranked #1 or really even top 10. Baseball is a different sport with the way the college land scape is set-up.

And sadly, this # 1 ranked team did not even win their home super regional! What matters is where you are ranked when the season is over! And by the way, I was very happy with the season and I never expected the team to win the CWS! Team did not have enough pitching.

I haven’t seen that too often in UL athletic history. This coaching staff is a victim of its own success. The bar is set high and logistically as a mid major there is a fine line to remain at the level we expect. This season has been a disappointment but I don’t think rooting for a total overhaul/reset of this program is very smart.

Who put Deggs in that position? Who has consistently put together pitching staffs that keep us at a pretty high level year to year? This is my opinion but good pitching is harder to find at the college level and the best way for consistent success as a mid-major starts with pitching not offense. Am I wrong?

As a mid-major in the sun belt I don’t see us ever on a year to year basis having the hitting recruits to maintain offenses that are on the elite levels like a high level SEC, Big 12, Pac12 school. Yes we will have those seasons where it all comes together on offense but I think to maintain consistent success it all starts on the mound which is where our head coach excels. If I’m wrong I’d love to hear an argument.
