    In a regional? No.

But we did play at LSU in 2012 (stony brook year) and got shutout.

We did play LSU in 2014 (Houston year). We won in BR that year.

We did play LSU in 2016 (Coastal year) in the Wally pontiff and lost that game.

Think about this, here is what we lose at the end of this year.

C Kole McKinnon--Platooning this year, but to be honest if not for injuries he would be behind Monica and Toro.

2B--Hunter Kasuls--Big loss as he is playing very well this year, will need to replace him.

OF--Orynn Veillon--Good player, but not great, questionable defense and feast or famine at the plate.

OF/1B--Daniel Lahare--Solid player, great overall defense both as an infielder and outfielder, but with injury and without really hasn't been hitting at all.

RP--Grant Cox--Decent middle relief, but not something we can not replace. Has had good outings and really bad ones.

P--Gunner Leger--Would be a huge loss, but the reality is he has not pitched much this year and he is solid this year, but is a question mark each day whether he can go or not.

C--Handsome Monica--Very good player, but Toro has shown in limited at bats that he can replace Monica.

The question mark and the only player I see that could be drafted and leave this year is:

OF/DH/1B--Todd Lott--If Lott comes back then I don't think we will have much to replace next year. Granted much of this will have to do with staying healthy. But I like the fact that we are hitting the ball better now than early in the season and all of last season.

Just a heads up, in conference play we are hitting .283 this year, this is the best batting average in conference play we have had since 2014, granted that year we hit .332 in conference play, but look at each year since then.

    2015---.279
    2016---.268
    2017---.267
    2018---.257
    2019---.283

And we are doing that with multiple expected starters not in the lineup or playing out of position.
    I love your research efforts.

    Thanks

Transitive property doesn’t work in general, it doesn’t work at all in baseball. A whole lot depends on 1 guy standing on the mound in any given game. It’s silly to point out different games of different teams of different years. Our better teams LSU gets protected. A lot of people don’t eliminate lsu in Baton Rouge in regionals. They play in and host a ton of regionals, in Baton Rouge, somebody will eventually beat them it just hadn’t been us.

The COACH ROBE PR MACHINE at it's best. LMAO

And your example of Houston is just as bad since it was not the same year that Houston beat LSU in regional to move on to a Super. Yes, we beat Houston that year only to move on and get swept by LSU.

Quit trying to spin things. Robe has never beat LSU in a post season series to advance to the next round where other coaches have.

    It is what it is!
No just pointing out how big of an idiot you are

Yes, since 2012 there has been 3 teams to knock out Lsu at home in post season. So do not act like LSU is unbeatable in a regional or super!

It is just that our coach has not been able to do it....EVER!

I get the mostly unavoidable and cyclical nature of athletics in general, and mid major college athletics in particular. I'm fine with it. Some are less than ok, tho.

We've missed on several recruits in the last few seasons. I understand the recruiting coordinator is spending less time coaching, more time on recruiting.

The apprehension from some (asking for a friend), is that the same guy that missed on a bunch of signs is still driving that bus, potentially missing on additional recruiting classes. Is that being mitigated? Is JW getting involved?

I know Robe filled gaps in coaching last year. Just hoping the long lead time in recruiting doesn't hurt too many more rosters.

I’m not sure to the extent but I would imagine he is involved, we signed one of his former players and Ive seen him in pictures with recruits. Id think he would at the least be involved in helping identify and evaluate them.
