That pretty much means our program isn’t big time. Nobody should be too big to fail. Sure we’d love for Robe to do great and plan his final day as coach, but that may not happen.
Robe was not hired by this AD, it needs to be a no lose deal for the AD to changes coaches.

Usually, it is easier for an AD to replace a coach that he did not hire.

The misinformed argument was that he was .500 this year. Even if he was, that's one year. One year removed from a national title. That kind of argument is desperation. I have NOTHING personal against Robe. Fact is, he is not performing. Not performing for an extended amount of time. To be honest, I'd lay off a bit if people weren't blindly defending but my concern is there are too many blind supporters that will make the situation worse because the drop in revenue will be much later than it should be. That's just my opinion.
I mentioned Sully in context of him outworking his competition regarding recruitng. I was comparing his results working smart, to us.

Our recruiting futility is on display on the rosters from the last 4 years. It's right there.

CajunRage, I think your question will be answered next year. We can complain all we want, but Coach Robichaux has always returned to a regional within 3 seasons when we have missed one since his tenure began 25 years ago. That has been his history and he will get that chance because he is a hall of fame coach. That is fact, it's not even debatable.

As for the money, this athletic program is broke! We are having a hard time paying bills now. Our AD is not going to fire Marlin or Robichaux until it's financially necessary to do so for the athletic program to move forward. Next year is critical for both coaches and not because I say it is, but because financially we can't afford for season tickets to tank in either sport while we are trying to rebuild our football program.

For clarity sake, can we establish which HoF is being referred to in these posts about HoF coach?

True. Not his guy, but in this case it has to be a no brainer, imo.

i already said that I misread something. I apologize for not researching further. But the point was that even a glorified program like FL is bound to have a down year. They will also recover much quicker than a G5 midmajor like ourselves. But whatever...carry on

Misreading or not it makes ZERO sense to compare what Sullivan has accomplished (who has been a HC a lot less longer) vs Tony. So lets just say FL is 500 right now, what does that have to do with the Cajuns not making a regional in 2017 and 2018 and only chance to make it this year is by winning the Sun Belt tourney? NONE! This was a total act of desperation! Period. At least Goggle something before you make a dumb and stupid post!

Does Tony have 7 CWS appearances & 1 NC since 2010?

Speaking of one down year, the baseball team has not made a regional since 2016. As I stated, now it is starting to shift from not making a regional to having a 500 records by the Tony crew! Keep setting the bar lower and lower for your buddy!

The one with over 1200 wins. I'm sorry it wasn't clear before my post.

Still not clear T. What organization are you referring to? UL HoF? LA Sports HoF? NCAA?
