Thread: Fifth-Inning Surge Propels Louisiana Past Southeastern

  1. Default Fifth-Inning Surge Propels Louisiana Past Southeastern

Five runs in the fifth inning, all scored with two outs, broke open the contest and sent No. 10 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball to a 7-1 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

Nice piece of hitting in the 5th. SLU's 22 wins on the season will help out our RPI.

Just for an FYI, Lana Bowers is on the staff at SLU.

A 6-0 week would be (hopefully) a boost. At least it would contribute to an overall great record.

    Already beat 22 win SLU.

    We play:

    27-11 App state X 3
    18-23 Campbell
    25-13 UNC Greensboro

This will be the last grind of the season before the conference tournament. 6 games in 7 days is rough, especially when 5 of them are on the road.

Rain in the forecast all over the state of North Taxalina this weekend and into next week. Need to play that App series, the other two could be RPI killers, but, I haven't looked...sure RAGIN Dave will be at most of these games, I won't be able to, have a hunting trip planned...

Monday starts the new week, so we're looking for 4-0 then 5-0. It's 9 games in 11 days. Campbell on Monday, Greensboro Tuesday then 3 at home against Georgia State Thursday to Saturday (Easter weekend).
