The coaches and players would be the first to tell you that this season is below program and team expectations.

And to the second comment- Yes, Maggard has done a great job hiring new coaches. However, this comment insinuates that the prior coaches were sub-par. Hud and Lotief were the men who grew their programs to the high level in which the new guys took over. They left their programs better than they found them and the baton was passed on to Napier and Glasco to continue on.

If most common fans truly knew and understood the value of Robe (on and off the field), this board would not have so many threads on forcing him out. Though you feel as though you're in the majority on wanting this, you're not. The ones that matter and make decisions on this know what they have.
This goes back to the OP of this thread....at what point is Robe told that this is enough? He's had his chances to fix this. And yet a $17 million stadium is half full. The fans are speaking up by not attending. Soon the fans may speak up by not paying $$ for this.

At this point last year (a year in which we got off slow again), we were 18-17. What's changed? We can hit the ball, but now can't pitch. What's going to be the reason for a slow start in 2020? Because nothing I see at the games makes me think we'll be better off in 2020.

Better team not program, hud left a first class APC and brought our salary pool and expectations way up.

    And what about last season?
    And what about 2017?

To me its not fans showing up with pitch forks looking to burn it down. Its about accountability. All last year we heard the "Never missed a regional three years in a row"... now its injuries, and gunner isn't healthy, and we are winning the second half, and this and that.. At some point it is what it is.

I'm not saying anyone needs to be fired, but we have to take an honest evaluation of the state of our program. We have to look at where we will be next year and the years to come.

Both of those new coaches are wonderful, I agree. But, with Hud's success didn't help bring national exposure to football? Bowl victories? Facility Upgrades? Huge _____ performance center/football ops building? What were we before? A maybe 3 win program that was laughingstock of college football world. You think would have been able to hire a Napier level coach had Hud not helped progress football to where it was when he left? Not a shot.

Glasco is great as well, don't get me wrong and has done an unreal job thus far. But Lotief's success (as well as YG before) didn't make softball program a national elite? A place where recruits want to play? A beautiful new stadium? These guys may have left on less than ideal terms. But to say they didn't leave it better than they found it is extremely short sighted.

I know people that have plenty sweat equity in all of these programs. Let's just not be so quick to jump the gun and call for Robe's head. I would love nothing more to have 5K fans rocking every game at the Tigue knowing we're about to destroy whoever is in town, well on our way to be a regional host. Robe will right the ship, believe it. But don't bark so loud that you end up leading the charge for extreme change and it comes.

A few years ago I openly doubted whether Robichaux would maintain his drive to excel after his sons left the program.

He proved my doubts were wrong.

Robi's track record has earned him the right to regroup.

    Less excuses, more accountability. Precisely.

Everybody needs to hush, go to the game tonight to show your support for our cajuns, and by all means have your ticket ready in hand for inspection.

For the record, I also believe Robe will fix it. He's done it before. However, do you honestly think a fanboard with four, or five folks typing a few paragraphs a week can get a coach fired, seriously? Please don't say that's what happened to Hud and Farmer. Are we (you) simply trying to tone down the rhetoric while the team rebuilds?

Understand that if you show they are getting to you, they just gunna turn up the volume.
