The second tier of players go to better known mid/majors, we get the leftovers.

The stars aligned for Robe and Hud at the same time with football going to a bowl and playing in a super regional.

With the implementation of the corporate money grab, customers (not fans anymore)are getting fed up with mediocre results based on ‘my results of money invested), saying the results are unacceptable, etc. I really get a chuckle out of it.

If you are waiting for a return on your investment with a new conference, national championships,...well good luck with that.

    Now it’s back to reality.
Used "ULL" reference in first sentence; post disregarded.

With that said, there is a glaring lack of tough nosed, get in your rear, warrior- type players on this team. The "talent" level needs to improve quickly to keep this program moving forward with its' proud history.

And for those of you "fans" practically begging to run Robe off- be careful what you wish for. You're spoiled to having one of the greatest coaches to ever do it run your program for the last 25-30 years. The man is still a huge asset and one of the best in the business driving this ship. The grass is not always greener with a new hire.
Even a great rudder wears out and will crash a ship if not replaced.

Is it time to change our rudder im not sure that's for the captain to decide, but for one thing there will be a hell of a lot fewer people on the voyage next year.

Will be interesting to see how much of the roughly $600k in patio boxes and suites will renew next year.

What if the grass isn't green with what you have?

Also, a rebuttal: Bryan Maggard replaced Mark Hudspeth with Billy Napier and also replaced ML with Gerry Glasco.

That rebuttal matches "The grass isn't ALWAYS greener."

Right now (so far) Maggard has a pretty good track record of finding greener grass.

I would say that you probably don't know Robe personally and would never look him in the eye and tell him his program isn't "green" or up to your standards.

The coaches and players would be the first to tell you that this season is below program and team expectations.

And to the second comment- Yes, Maggard has done a great job hiring new coaches. However, this comment insinuates that the prior coaches were sub-par. Hud and Lotief were the men who grew their programs to the high level in which the new guys took over. They left their programs better than they found them and the baton was passed on to Napier and Glasco to continue on.

If most common fans truly knew and understood the value of Robe (on and off the field), this board would not have so many threads on forcing him out. Though you feel as though you're in the majority on wanting this, you're not. The ones that matter and make decisions on this know what they have.

Nobody I know wants Robe gone Cajun 18. Fans are frustrated getting a look at the mountain top then getting kicked down the side of the hill. That is college athletics. If fans didn't care, this board would nothing but food and whiskey threads. You get that, right? Is that what you would prefer, 200 in the stands and nobody cares? You may be giving more credit to the vocal minority than they deserve.

Glasco had two All Americans missing, and freshman pitcher of the year gone. Program was on rubber legs. Napier inheriting a program just comming off probation, empty scholarships and a picked over recruiting prospects. Neither fired coach left their program in better shape than they got it in.
