Thread: Game day Trolley

  1. Default Re: Game day Trolley

Its probably a round trip trolley. RNB to LB to LS to CF (and should have added back to RNB)

    Indeed it was.

Alternative tailgating. If it puts butts in the seats, go for it.

Absolutely a great idea. Don't know how it will impact attendnace, but every little bit helps.

But I don't really like the round trip thought: they pick you up at RNB, then take you to LB, then when you are very close to CF you go all the way to LS? I guess they could just get walk from LB to CF, but that is pretty good hike. Makes more sense if they contine on and do a U turn on N. College, drop off at CF, then continue on to LS.

I’m sure they take you from RNB to LB and you walk to Cajun Field.

That way Legends is involved in both trolley trips, which I’m sure they paid for.

Ride it all the way to the bourbon bowl baby!

    I suspect you are correct.

How many people does anyone think will walk from LB to CF? People complain about walking from the LITE building, or even across the CF parking lot. And apparently the students wouldn't do it from Bourgeois Hall.

If this is the case, I think the trolley might be fun and help increase RNB and L's business, but unless it gets people to either the corner of Cajun Dome Blvd or N. Bertrand and Reinhardt, then I don't think it will do much for game attendance, IMHO.

Ever see the tailgating at S. Carolina? There are permanent rail cars (cabooses) at the stadium. Pretty nice. And, the stadium entrance is not unlike what ours could look like with the Cox building gone and an athletic quad with a FDL fountain similar to the one in the quad on campus, but on a smaller scale. See photos.

To me it reads two trolley routes. One from downtown to Bertrand than Cajun Field and one from Legends South to Cajun Field.

Where do you see that it goes from Bertrand to CF?

If I was a betting man, I would think each complete trip includes a stop at CF (no the C does not stand for Cluster) for both late dropoffs and early pickups.
