....I like Lafayette and tell you why....saw him play his butt off with tough inside defense, doesn’t run the court too bad for a biggie, prteey soft touch on the shot......weight room every day till the season starts....muscle milk and restricted dedicated ....inside offensive moves and shots training!

I thought Lafayette should have been given minutes this season. I think he would have benefited playing on the same court as Gant. The one game that he was used in that role he provided a great deal of energy, not all wasted. Gladney and Hayes showed little reason to raise expectations.

Of the three mentioned, Hayes. Gladney and Lafayette need to develop quickly.

My personal opinion is that Hayes has the biggest upside from what I can see. I don't see Gladney or Lafayette developing into D1 contributors while at UL.

Gladney gave us a lot of energy on the defensive end and will be the ONLY guy returning from last year's team that might be considered some form of a rim protector. We need a guy who will be able to guard in the post and help on the weak side. That's not Davis or Miller.

Javonne Lowery a 6’4” guard out of Houston area and Chris Spenkuch a 6’7” forward out of the Miami area.

I agree that Gladney showed some glimpses of great athleticism and could be a rim protector. I was kind of disappointed to see that Tirus Smith only had 9 total blocks at the JUCO level.
