I’d believe it’s Burke, Young, Perrin and maybe in that order. I really liked Perrin on Saturdays up to this point. Other than one outing he’s been pretty good. Young went 100 pitches so I could see him getting an extra days rest and go on Sunday. And Burke otta be fresh missing the whole weekend. I’d think Savoy goes tomm and Schultz on Wed.
We’ve got several pitchers who have shown that they have the ability to be a Friday starter. I’m somewhat hopeful that Robe will find a way to get these guys more consistent.
Now that hitting seems to actually becoming pretty good over a decent number of games, just maybe this is the real Cajuns instead of those guys posing in the early season. We’ll see who’s the real team shortly.
I can't remember when nobody knew who the Friday guy was half way through the season.
I don't give up on Schultz on Friday just yet. I'd keep Perrin on Saturday between two righties. Young for now on Sunday. Burke / Savoy for midweek games. Leaumont, Cooke, Cox, and Gunner have to be lights out coming out of the pen. That's going to be the tell tale. Holding leads when we get them. It's literally one inning at a time from this point on.
Navigate this last 5 game week and then we have 2 4 game weeks..last 3 weeks if the season no midweek games. Pitching will get a lot better for those last 3 weekends
