Just noticed something today: if you enter from their main page, each of the sports editions have us as "UL Ragin Cajuns."
But if you are in the BTR section, then click on most of the options there (lsu, southern, etc.), the Sports drop down still lists us as "UL Lafayette." This doesn't happen in the Saints link, or ours.
Pretty minor, and I guess they either (conveniently) forgot to change those, or are enjoying that there is still at least a few bad references left, lol.
Check out Advocate on line this AM...
I know nothing about LSU’s reporters on the Advocate, but I clicked on the story from “Wilson Alexander” from yesterday recapping their weekend series with Mizzou, knowing that there would be a reference to the Cajuns as their next opponent. Sure enough, we’re referred to as UL. Great news and great progress.
Great for branding, but poor for local coverage.
Overall the Advertiser will feel slighted and jump ship with more and more BR coverage.

So maybe less than a decade after the hyphen we've defeated ESPN, AP, conference, and the Tiga printed monopoly! Now we're Louisiana and UL all over the place.
Many have died never realizing this moment. I'm especially thinking of California Cajun who left us way too soon. I'm sure many of y'all have your own memories.
Let's just accept the victory. No need to gloat.
