I don't know if I would say that Nunez was not very good. We needed better, but Nunez was more than sufficient.
I liked his moxy and yes he made some mistakes, but not very good would be an overstatement.
The guy completed 63.41% of his passes, with 20 TD's. The 12 INT's were a little high, he also threw for 2272 yards, which was 162.29 yards per game.
Both terms are subjective. IMO not very good means he’s likely to hurt you in important moments. Same thing for sufficient.
IMO Lewis has the physical skills to be a good QB. I’m seeing a guy in game real time slow to recognize opportunities that are available almost every time. That’s to a degree coach-able. If you don’t have the physical tools ⚒ 🛠 🧰 your upside is very limited.
