Thread: Pearse Migl

    Default Pearse Migl

Both Coach Napier and Desormeaux have mentioned this guy in press conferences. RS Freshman TE from Welsh. Assume he was a PWO. Like to hear when PWO's are making names for themselves, and them being somewhat local is even better.

Now that guy is a football player.

From his video on maxpreps, 6'1" 230, great lead blocker on sweeps and on the edges. Don't think he has the size to play TE in college, but I would make room for him at LB.

Desormeaux mentioned his size, but as you said, he is just a football player and he makes plays. I'll take that at whatever position they deem necessary.

......Sometimes we stereo type player's build/size at certain positions-----but the 6'5" TE at 230 maybe doesn't have the overall power and strength of a guy giving up the 4 inches---maybe loses the quickness with the height------I see kids walking up to the plate at the Russo that I say would be great TEs, LBS, etc and the stereo type gets in mind!!!

Well mostly the bigger players, prototype for the position actually have the better natural aptitude for that position. I’d rather invest my efforts into that guy than finding the undersized exception. I’m probably getting it right more often by going with the standard than finding the needle in the haystack. But you go ahead Boomer spending resources on windmills.

Those are WhenMills and their highly discounted cousins, WhatifMills.

They aren't hard on resources but do have a low ROI.

Every scholarship is a very valuable commodity. It's one thing to miss on a PWO it's entirely different thing on a scholarship player.

.....If only you knew the countless times that the not expected conquered the expected of position talent....don’t know this situation, but what fun it is to catch a walk on to be the guy....as an added benefit many times the under dog brings that lil extra that adds to the team stepping it up......and yes, don’t forget the physical maturation calendars of all setting foot on the UL campus at a still growing age for some.....again, he is a walk on!

Met his brother at Lourdes health and wellness center last summer. He told me about pierces preferred walk on status and how excited the family was

Said he was a great athlete and was also the deep snapper in high school. Looks like another find along the lines of Jordan Quibideaux.
