GS was way more scrappy than expected and we didn't play as well as we know we can. Found ways to win all three though. Hopefully finding different ways to win will pay off come playoff time. GEAUX CAJUNS

Defense had miscues do to the hardness of the dirt in the infield. If you were watching on line and not listening to the radio broadcast, it was clearly evident.

The hard dirt didn't affect GaSo at all, and us only in game 2. I was watching. We just had a bad day on defense. It isn't the first time that has happened this year.

App State with a great record but played a joke of a non-conference schedule to get it as the RPI shows.

We've already swept the #2,3 and 4 SBC RPI teams though I'm sure part of why they're there is playing us. Not much hope in any others coming into the top 50

Of course the hard dirt didn't affect Georgia State. They play half their games on it, and are used to it. The Cajuns don't. It takes some time getting used to.

Regardless of the hard infield or defense, we didn't hit well. That needs to improve on a consistent basis.

If only we could plan on Baylor having a number of their starters out with injury including their top pitcher from last year Gia Rodoni (Big 12 First Team) who is redshirting. They typically are the #2 team in the Big 12. I spoke to Coach Moore when they were here and his assistant/hitting coach was found to have cancer over the summer and then fell and broke a hip so he hasn't been able to coach. They are also pretty young with 8 freshmen and six sophomores on the team.

You could tell from the start this schedule was not as strong as years past when we had Fla, Alabama, and Oregon for three game series and Baylor for two games. Then to add to the problem this year the games with #23 Oregon St and #4 Oklahoma were canceled and the SB Conf. is not as strong as it has been.

We're # 10 in the poles and #21 in RPI. In reality we are probably right in the middle at about the 15th best team in the country right now IMO.

Still a lot of SB to be played though and the small sample size says Glasco teams get better come playoff time. GEAUX CAJUNS!
