Probably not. Minimum wins needed 41 and a solid RPI. Any time we get those we’re usually in.
There seems to be no correlation between conference RPI and our relative regional appearances. For example, UL strength of schedule (SOS) is ranked 62, RPI 123. USM SOS is 95. RPI is 61. I went back 8 years and the results were similar. CUSA and Sunbelt are similar baseball leagues.
D1 baseball projects USM a 2 seed this year.
CUSA is way ahead of the SUN WORST...TECH has dumped the fleur de leis 6 of the last 8 meetings!!!
The CWS horse has died. He lived a nice long life and he was ridden for all he was worth . He spent the last years grazing on outfield grass. But alas the artificial surface proved his undoing. For it had no nourishment and was way too fancy for him.
When Toro and Lahare are back it would seem that this team now has options:
MUST STARTS
Lott
Cantrelle
Breaux
Kasuls
PROBABLE STARTERS
Vellion
Monica
McKinnon/Toro
Somehow those top 11/12 (with the addition of Spears) batters need to be figured what is the best lineup, McKinnon will probably move out of the lineup when Toro comes back and be available as a DH and or PH.
The interesting thing will be Lahare, if he can come back and get hot and give us another potential .300 type hitter (I know he has been awful this year, but does have an OBA of .296.) where does he go. I like the options we have now and or when Lahare and Toro are completely back.
Other Options
Spears (who has probably moved into the probable list)
Hannie
Camp
Lahare
Outside of the Usual or PH rolls
Wiley
Dupuy
Mitchel
Colton
Lochridge
Well, Lochridge is going to play unless Dupuy really makes the most of his opportunities at 3B. Those are the only options.
Lochridge can not be this bad of a hitter!
At some point he’s going to buss loose!
Hopefully this weekend
