Your post suggest he was given something he hasn't earned. I told you the Patch on his shoulder suggest otherwise. As for Lockridge, you admitted being a personal friend of the family earlier in this thread, amongst other comments. I've heard many of the same things you have posted about other players, and for the record I'm not certain of what is accurate or extreme exaggerations from disgruntled player, and or parents. In any case, I look up and I see that Cantrelle is leading the team in batting average and has won more games with his bat than any other player in the lineup thus far in the season. So in spite of your suggestions that he has been given more opportunity than others to succeed, it's no surprise to me he has the best stats on the team and has been the best damn player of the team this season. I'm my book he has earned it.
Now do I think there aren't problems in the program? I'm not naive enough to believe some players haven't received better opportunities than others. It happens in most programs, if it did not Lockridge would still be at LSU. And that is my point to you, other programs do the same things including the one down the road, but some people want to kick Rob in the nuts because he has done the same thing at times. But people that support those same athletes don't ever bring up those complaints about that program.
Bottom line, we have problems in our program. There is no doubt that it falls on the man running this program and his decisions. He needs to fix it or the fans will stop supporting him. But in all the things we've seen and complained about that are concerns, Hayden Cantrelle is the least of my concern. At some point performance matters and BS walks.
