We have sucked at recruiting, evaluating talent and coaching hitters. We did hire a new hitting coach and we are seeing signs of improvement, still very inconsistent and some have actually regressed, but still signs.
We need to finish the coaching redo and get recruiting and talent evaluation in new hands.
Robe just said starting pitcher for tomorrow night is Logan Savoy and Wednesday’s starter is Dalton Horton
This is a hungry mans game. We've been well fed for too many seasons. It's abundantly clear either we're doing a bad job of recruiting, or just as bad if not worse, can't coach the players we actually get into the program.
Ultimately the head coach is responsible for all things good, or bad.
Let's just quit with all this 💩, this team is 1 and 0 to start the second half of the season and working on a very successful second half.

Part of the explanation is the inevitable cyclical nature of college sports, which I believe. I'd discuss that along with injuries, but that opens the conversation to what can be done to exit the down cycle. Those things can be coaching, development, recruiting, hitting coaches, etc.
