Does anyone know if Horton is actually hurt or just got pulled from the rotation for poor performance?
Recruiting is the main issue over here. We go to Atlanta for a couple weeks in the summer, a few high schools in state and we call that “busting _____” on the recruiting trail. We need PLAYERS. We need guys that put fear into the opponent. We don’t have ONE guy on this team that truly has that. And I’m talking on a consistent basis. We have no alpha male/males on this team. Not even close. No one holds anyone else accountable. The “excuse line” is already in place for 2020. The five letter word, “Young”. Think about what we have on the field now (position players and pitchers), what’s coming back, and what’s coming in. Light years from a Regional caliber team yet again. We don’t recruit well enough. Plain and simple.
I doubt you will get much push back from anyone who has watched this program for awhile. I heard much of the same second hand from someone very familiar with the 2014 team and "around", "close to" the team, last year.
Recruiting has been pitiful and the the few acorns the blind squirrels find are shipped off to Big 12 and JUCO teams.
The injury excuse is meaningless with a 1-7 start to the season, but it will be repeated until the end.

So according to this we were struggling scoring runs and laying down bunts before Trahan got here.
